The Event: "It's About Sea Life" Launch Benefit by presenting sponsors
"Surf Addict" Crew & Partners, in San Francisco, to benefit several sea life protection and environmental non-profit organizations: "SurfAid International" "Save the Waves" "Surf Rider Foundation"
Benefit Date: Friday, November 21st, 2008, 6:00pm-12:00pm - Aquarium At The Bay. Paddle Out Date: Saturday, November 22nd, 2008, 8:30am - Crissy Field.
The Description: "Surf Addict" and its crew, named after SF based Clothing & Accesories Manufacturer, along with other local partners/sponsors, will be the presenting sponsor of a launch party to benefit sevaral sea life protection and environmental non-profit organizations.
"SurfAid International" is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in isolated regions of the world, connected to us through surfing.
"Save the Waves Coalition" is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of surf spots and the marine environment, with an emphasis on educating the world’s people and governments of the high social and economic value of a quality surfing wave.
"The Surfrider Foundation" is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. During the party, SurfAid International, Save The Waves and Surfrider Foundation will show short videos about their organizations and ongoing efforts to bring together ocean minded people across the globe in the effort to protect sea life and the environment.
The benefit will take place in San Francisco - at the Aquarium of the Bay - in the evening of Friday, November 21st, 2008, from 6:00pm - 12am. Attendees will be able to visit the Aquarium from 6:00pm till 7:00pm.
The Cocktail Reception will start at 7:00pm and the live auction will start at 9:00pm. Music and dancing will follow. Celebrity guests, musicians, artists, designers and pro-surfers are expected to attend. Local bands are expected to play at the party.
Tickets will be sold between $75.00 - $100.00 via (URL) and designated shops. In the morning after the party, November 22nd, at 8:30am, local surfers, ocean conservationists, animal & life lovers, will perform a ceremonial paddle-out at Crissy Field. This will be an ocean ritual to offer prayers for all the creatures of the ocean and for protection of sea life in general.
The morning paddle-out ceremony will be followed by an opportunity to speak to sea life protection and environmental non-profit organization representatives about their causes and quest to preserve th ocean and sea life. The paddle-out event will be free and open to the public. More information about the event will be available at selected URL's.
